About the role

St Anthony's School, Wanneroo, is a co-educational double stream Catholic school that caters for over 440 students and their families from 3-Year-old Kindergarten to Year 6. This role is based at the school and involves grounds and facilities maintenance to ensure the school workplace is safe, secure, and well-maintained.

The initial contract will run until the end of Term 1, 2027 (9/4/2027) with the possibility of an extension.

Key responsibilities

- Routine garden maintenance: trim hedges, weed garden beds, water plants and maintain outdoor play areas

- Ensure grounds are kept to a high standard, picking up rubbish, cobweb removal, reinstating pavement, and general repairs

- Maintenance and repair: locks, patch plaster, paint, basic plumbing repairs

- Prepare regular status reports on facility operations and project progress for senior management in consultation with the Assistant Principal

- Monitor and report hazards, conduct basic risk assessments, and ensure the safe use and storage of tools and chemicals

- Perform security and safety checks:



open and lock buildings and gates; conduct routine inspection of grounds and buildings

- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report faults when necessary

- Assist with deliveries and waste management

- Assist in scheduling and supervising contractors or tradespeople on site as required

- Move and assembly of office furniture, collect mail, and assist with event setup as required

About you

- Current Working with Children Check required before commencement

- Current Driver's licence full C class essential

- Knowledge and experience with maintenance work such as plumbing and basic irrigation repair

- Basic DIY level maintenance experience required including plumbing and irrigation repairs

- Knowledge and/or experience with gardening requirements

- Strong organisation and time management skills

- Teamwork and great communication

- Reliable, flexible, and punctual approach to your work

- Ability to perform physical requirements of the role

- Value safety as a priority in the workplace
