The Role
ABC Music holds a rich, genre-spanning catalogue of Australian recordings, and every track is an opportunity. In this role you'll open up current licensing and sync opportunities, keep releases on track and help the team make smart financial calls It's a hands-on role with plenty of variety, including upkeep of the production schedule and putting albums and singles into production, reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the Head of ABC Music.
You will:
- Lead synchronisation and licensing, both incoming and outgoing, working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and optimise Rightsline and related systems and keep the data accurate.
- Keep digital and physical releases on schedule, spotting and resolving risks and delays early. Putting assets into workstation for production and organise manufacture of physical products.
- Manage contracts for ABC Music, with direction from Legal, Business Affairs and the Head of ABC Music and support budgeting and forecasting with financial insights.
- Work with the music team, Finance and Royalties so financial and rights data is recorded and distributed correctly.
- Support the Business Manager with operational priorities and planning and identify and communicate grant opportunities.

About You
You're organised, detail-minded and good with people, and you bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, or equivalent skills and experience in production, operations, finance or business administration, ideally in a music industry environment.
- Previous experience using DISCO system desirable.
- A track record of managing workflows from start to finish.
- Confidence turning data into clear insights and well-written reports.
- Strong communication skills and a knack for building good relationships.
- Advanced computer skills across business, financial and production systems, and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- A proactive, problem-solving approach to improving systems, processes and workflows (Rightsline or SAP experience and music industry knowledge are a bonus).
