We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our team at Unique Tooling P/L in Wetherill Park, NSW. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for the manufacture, and maintenance of high-quality plastic injection moulding tools, dies, and other precision components for our diverse range of industrial clients. This is a full time position offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
What you'll be doing
- Build to print and manufacture a variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to precise specifications
- Operate a range of metalworking equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines to produce parts to exacting tolerances
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to develop innovative solutions to complex manufacturing challenges
- Maintain detailed records and documentation to support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
- Formal trade qualifications in toolmaking or a related engineering discipline
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in a toolmaking or machinists role, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in operating a variety of metalworking equipment, including manual and CNC machines
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
