About the role at Pacific Furniture & Bedding Muswellbrook
Pacific Furniture & Bedding is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis at our Muswellbrook NSW location. In this role, you will be the face of our business, delivering excellent customer service and driving sales across our furniture and bedding ranges. The role is on average 3 days per week, included sharing weekends between 3 people.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting customers warmly and assisting them in finding the right furniture and bedding products to meet their needs
- Providing product knowledge and recommendations to customers, highlighting features, benefits and value propositions
- Processing sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and well organised sales floor and merchandise displays
- Assisting with inventory management and stock checking activities
- Answering customer queries and resolving issues professionally and courteously
- Assisting with the fortnightly delivery run using your local area knowledge
What we're looking for
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly and professional manner
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive shopping experiences
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move some furniture items, and work in a retail setting
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of visual merchandising
- Previous use of a Point of sale system and ability to use excel
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred
