At the heart of Caladenia are our small, social group programs. We bring people living with dementia together for engaging days built around conversation, activities, shared meals, outings and genuine connection.

We are seeking a Casual Support Worker (Activity Assistant) to join our friendly and supportive team. You’ll work alongside our staff and volunteers to support members within these groups — helping people participate, connect with others and enjoy their day.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, contributing to group activities and building positive relationships.

You’ll work alongside our staff and volunteers to support members within these groups — helping people participate, connect with others and enjoy their day.

About the role

You will:

- Support people living with dementia in a warm, respectful, person-centred way
- Assist with group activities, social engagement, and day programs
- Drive our 12-seater bus (car licence only required) for outings and transport
- Prepare and serve simple, nutritious lunches
- Provide personal care assistance with dignity and compassion, as required
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment

Shifts are between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Saturday .
No evening or overnight shifts.
Closed on public holidays, Christmas, and Current Year.

What we’re looking for

- Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support
- Willingness to assist with personal care
- Current driver’s licence and confidence driving a 12-seater bus
- Flexibility with availability between 8am–5pm
- A caring, reliable, and positive attitude

Experience in aged care is valued, but attitude, empathy, and willingness to learn are just as important .
