We are looking for someone that would like to join our Home Services team as a Laundry Attendant, this position is responsible for providing a protected, hygienic, efficient, and resident-focused laundry service within the residential aged care facility. The role ensures residents’ personal clothing, linen, towels, and facility laundry are cleaned, handled, stored, and distributed in accordance with infection prevention and control standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and organisational policies.

Position Tasks -

· Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distributing resident clothing and facility linen.

· Following established laundry procedures and manufacturer instructions for textiles and laundry chemicals.

· Ensuring residents’ personal clothing is correctly identified and returned to the appropriate resident.





· Reporting damaged, missing, or unlabelled clothing to the appropriate supervisor.

· Maintaining adequate supplies of linen and towels throughout the facility.

· Monitoring laundry equipment and reporting faults or maintenance requirements.

Knowledge and Skills (training provided) -

· Laundry operations and textile care.

· Infection prevention and control principles.

· Workplace health and safety requirements.

· Safe chemical handling.

· Manual handling techniques.

· Resident rights, dignity, and privacy.

·Strengthened aged care quality standards knowledge and adherenance.
