The primary objective of the position is to generate sales through delivering the highest level of customer service to all Clark Rubber customers and assist in providing a welcoming, clean, neat and well merchandised retail store.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve customers courteously and efficiently ensuring the highest level of customer service standards are met at all times.
- Assisting customers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
- Assisting customers through answering queries and providing guidance and advice on product selection.
- Pool water testing and assist customers in selecting pool and spa chemicals, accessories, and equipment.
- Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately.
- Stocking shelves and displaying product in accordance with planograms and to our Merchandising Standards.
- Ticketing items within the store in accordance with the Merchandising Standards.
- Start and End of day register balancing/counting.
- Managing customer refunds in accordance with our Refund Policy and approval process with Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.




- Follow and complete housekeeping tasks as listed on the Daily and Weekly Action Lists.
- Responsible for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
- Receiving and storing stock deliveries as required.
- Other tasks and duties as directed

Skills & experience required

- Have a current drivers license
- Preferably retail experience
- Solid customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.
- Ideally an understanding and experience of sales i.e. retail, merchandising, customer service with knowledge of Swimming Pools highly regarded.
- Knowledge or interest in swimming pool and spa products and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for point-of-sale transactions.
