EXPERIENCED DOG GROOMER WANTED - FULL-TIME

Position Available: 1 x Experience Dog Groomer

Location: Emu Plains, NSW

Pooch Pawfection is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Dog Groomer with 1-2 years professional experience to join our established team in Emu Plains.

We’re a busy, professional grooming salon with a strong focus on quality grooming, animal welfare, teamwork and ongoing education . We’re looking for someone who is already confident working independently and wants to become part of a supportive, long-term team.

THE POSITION

Full-Time Experienced Dog Groomer
Monday-Friday + every second Saturday, with a weekday off when working Saturday
Our salon operates between 7:00am and 4:10pm , so applicants must be available to work varying shifts within these hours.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Pooch Pawfection are expanding their team and are looking for an experienced groomer.
This is a hands-on position for a groomer who takes pride in their work, values animal welfare, and enjoys working in a team.

About You:

- Minimum 1-2 years professional dog grooming experience

- The ability to complete all grooming services confidently and without supervision

- Strong clipping, scissoring, styling and finishing skills

- Advanced knowledge of grooming techniques, equipment, breed and coat types

- Confidence managing consultations, bookings, and other day-to-day operational tasks

- The ability to complete 7-8 grooms per day depending on breed, size and service

- Reliability and a strong work ethic

- A positive, team-focused attitude

- Full Australian working rights & Currently living in Australia

Key responsibilities include:

- Performing high-quality grooms across a range of breeds

- Maintaining high grooming and animal welfare standards

- Bathing, drying, prepping,



clipping, scissoring and styling

- Communicating professionally with clients and the team

- Assisting with check-in and check-out of dogs when needed

- Helping maintain a clean, organised and professional salon

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

To be considered, you will need:

- - Minimum 1-2 years professional dog grooming experience

- - Ability to complete full grooms confidently without supervision

- - Strong clipping, scissoring, styling and finishing skills

- - Valuable knowledge of breeds, coat types and appropriate grooming techniques

- - Confidence communicating with clients about grooming requirements and pricing

- - Strong time management and the ability to work efficiently in a busy salon

- - Ability to comfortably manage approximately 7-8 dogs per day , depending on breed, size and service

- - Reliability and a strong work ethic

- - A positive, team-focused attitude

- - Full Australian working rights

- - Currently living in Australia
