Primary Objective: The role will work in collaboration with the Safety and Quality to monitor compliance and drive quality improvements for the NSQHS partnering with consumers and communicating for safety standards. You will work in collaboration with Menzies School of Health Research, the Aboriginal Interpreter Service, and key stakeholders to ensure there is effective communication between Aboriginal patients, their carers and families,
multidisciplinary teams and clinicians across Katherine Hospital, to support coordinated and safe care for Aboriginal patients. The role will facilitate training in cultural safety for health care providers at Katherine Hospital and will work with the Menzies research team in the collection of quantitative data and patient experiences.This vacancy may be available either full time as a P2 or AO5, or part time (24 hours per week) as an N3. Selection will be made at the P2, AO5 or N3 level depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful applicant.
