ADS provides information, advice, referral, intake, assessment and treatment support to people experiencing substance use concerns. As Team Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership, skilled supervision and strategic direction for a multidisciplinary team delivering specialised treatment services.

In this role, you will lead, manage and support the Counselling and Treatment Services team while providing clinical leadership, supervision and guidance to staff. You will oversee service planning, performance monitoring, reporting, evaluation and governance activities, manage financial, human and physical resources, and contribute to policy development, service improvement initiatives and strategic planning.

You will also build and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support health promotion and service delivery objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience delivering psychological and counselling interventions for people experiencing alcohol and other drug-related issues, together with strong knowledge of the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) sector and contemporary treatment approaches. You will have a proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams in a complex healthcare environment, supported by excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will be adaptable, resilient and capable of thriving in a dynamic service environment, with strong critical thinking, analytical and reflective practice skills that support sound, evidence-based decision-making. The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity is essential.

Note: This is a temporary position available for 10 months with possibility of extension. Appointment to the position may be made based on written application and referee reports.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.

- Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.

Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.

Where an offer of employment is for a fixed-term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.
