Our global Financial Services client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Tax Analyst/Tax Accountant to join their agile Finance Department. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys working across tax compliance, reporting, advisory, and data integrity, while collaborating with internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and lodge Corporate income tax and GST, including calculation and supporting documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prepare and lodge corporate tax returns without supervision.
- Process tax payments including withholding tax (WHT) and PAYG. Prepare workpapers and reporting for TFN/ABN and FATCA/CRS.
- Support FBT obligations, tax provisions, and deferred tax balances.
- Prepare tax workpapers, data, and schedules for Head Office / Regional Office.
- Maintain and update tax documentation, including transfer pricing,
policies, and procedures.
- Reconcile and analyse tax-relevant financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Support ATO, external auditor, consultant, and internal stakeholder inquiries.
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of Australian tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill. High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies
- Minimum 3-6 years of relevant tax experience.
- Australian work rights required at time of application.
- Preference for Financial Services industry experience.
