About the role

The role oversees governance, risks, dependencies, suppliers and integrated delivery plans, while coordinating transport operators, government stakeholders and delivery partners. It provides clear reporting and advice to senior management, leads multidisciplinary teams, builds strong stakeholder relationships, resolves delivery issues, and supports operational readiness and the successful transition of assets and services into ongoing operations.

- You’re an accomplished project manager who can lead complex projects and deliver outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.
- You’re skilled at translating strategy into effective project delivery, with robust governance, risk management and performance monitoring.
- You apply sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex issues and make informed decisions.
- You build strong stakeholder relationships, address issues constructively and work collaboratively across teams to achieve shared outcomes.
- You’re adaptable and open to new approaches, with the confidence to adjust strategies when needed and bring others along.

Qualifications and experience

You’ll bring:

- Demonstrated project management experience delivering large- scale ticketing and fare collection systems or comparable technology implementations, including device rollout,



business readiness and change management across complex stakeholder environments. (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated understanding of ticketing systems, fare structures and business rules with experience advising customer, operational and policy stakeholders on the implications of system functionality, operational requirements and technical constraints (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience managing end to end project delivery, including planning, governance, supplier management, budget, risk management and executive reporting (Mandatory)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, technology, business management or a related discipline, or accreditation in a recognised project management methodology such as PRINCE2, PMBOK or AIPM. (Desirable)
