We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to take ownership of the coffee operation at Saint Haven Toorak .
THE ROLE
Coffee is an important part of the daily member experience at Saint Haven, and we’re looking for someone who genuinely understands the craft.
As Head Barista, you’ll take ownership of the coffee station and beverage experience at Toorak, ensuring every coffee leaving the bar is exceptional, consistent and delivered with the level of service expected within a luxury Private Club.
You’ll become a familiar face to our members — learning their preferences, remembering their orders and creating the kind of personalised experience that keeps them coming back.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day coffee operation at Saint Haven Toorak
- Producing consistently exceptional coffee across high-volume periods
- Maintaining exceptional standards across extraction, milk texture, presentation and speed of service
- Setting and maintaining coffee recipes, quality and consistency
- Maintaining equipment,
stock levels and an immaculate coffee station
- Supporting the development of seasonal and specialty beverage offerings
- Building genuine relationships with members and anticipating their preferences
- Sharing your coffee knowledge and helping build capability across the broader team
- Managing opening, closing and daily operational requirements for the coffee station
ABOUT YOU
You know great coffee — and you care about every detail that goes into creating it.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Significant specialty coffee and barista experience within premium or high-volume venues
- Experience as a Head Barista, Lead Barista or senior member of a coffee operation
- Exceptional knowledge of espresso extraction, calibration, milk preparation and coffee quality
- Confidence operating during busy services without compromising standards
- A warm, polished and highly personable approach
- Pride in maintaining an immaculate and beautifully presented coffee station
- A genuine passion for developing exceptional beverages and continuously improving the offering
- Strong attention to detail and a natural ability to remember member preferences
- Availability across early mornings and weekends
