MMM Industrial Electrica l is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing team on a full-time basis . Based in Port Melbourne, VIC , this role is crucial to maintaining and enhancing our customers electrical infrastructure. As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability and efficiency of electrical systems for our client. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse industrial applications, contributing directly to the success of our operations and the satisfaction of our valued client.
Key responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic testing on complex electrical systems to identify faults and inefficiencies
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of electrical equipment
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure works are completed on time and to specification
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and best practices
- Maintain detailed records of work completed, including maintenance logs and service reports
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members where required
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Industrial Electrician or in a similar electrical role within an industrial environment
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, control systems and industrial machinery
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics and technical documentation
- Demonstrated ability to use electrical testing equipment.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and regulations
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights where required
