The NWCC is affiliated with the Northern Cancer Service, situated in the North West Regional Hospital complex and provides direct access to a range of medical, surgical and hospital services required to deliver quality, person-centred cancer care.The RoleWe are seeking a motivated nurse, preferably with 3 years of clinical experience to provide specialised nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, cancer treatment and non-oncology treatment. This role involves comprehensive patient assessment, administration of chemotherapy and other oncologic therapies, symptom management, patient education, and emotional support. Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care throughout the cancer treatment journeyYou will need (Up to 3 bullet points)Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient-client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards for practice.Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Drive clinical excellence and continuous improvement with a focus on ongoing skilled and career development.Prior oncology experience is desirable but not a requirement, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to professional development in this specialtyNote: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Why TasmaniaThe Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification typeSalary PackagingYou'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
