We areseeking a Planning Officer to join our Development Team and help deliverquality planning outcomes across the municipality. You will work on a varietyof planning applications, provide advice to the public and developers, andcontribute to the sustainable growth of our region.
What you will be doing
- Assessing andprocessing planning permit applications.
- Providing planning advice to residents, developers and internal stakeholders.
- Conducting site inspections and preparing reports and recommendations.
- Assisting with planning scheme amendments and compliance matters.
- Buildingpositive relationships with the community and development industry.
What you will bring
- Aqualification in Town Planning, Urban Studies or a related field (or currentlystudying with relevant experience).
- Knowledge of planning legislation and statutory planning processes.
- Strongorganisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Well-developedcommunication and report writing skills.
- A commitmentto customer service and continuous improvement.
- A currentVictorian Driver Licence.
- A PoliceCheck will be conducted on the preferred applicant.
