This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

The role involves executing the site’s preventative maintenance programs and promptly addressing breakdowns, leveraging your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to swiftly diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. You will ideally have experience gained in an FMCG environment.

Your hours of work will be Monday - Friday day shift 3pm -11pm. (Please note that for the first two weeks you must be available to work 7am to 3pm for induction purposes). You will be required to undertake some weekend work from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of all equipment to ensure smooth production operations.

- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with established schedules to minimise downtime
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to resolve issues efficiently
- Assist in the installation, modification, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, quality control, and industry regulations during all maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and replacements, using MEX or similar systems
- Perform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required (e.g., MIG, TIG, and Stick welding)




- Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily available
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including the implementation of Lean practices

What we are looking for

Relevant trade qualifications

- Prior experience in a food production environment is highly desirable.
- Strong fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, and Stick welding)
- Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
- Previous experience using MEX, or similar CMMS
- Solid understanding of Lean principles
- Capacity to work in strict compliance with WHS guidelines
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to teamwork
- Extensive experience in fault-finding and rapid breakdown response
