Job Description

COOL B EMPLOYMENT PTY LTD We are seeking an experienced and passionate Child Care Worker to join our dedicated team. This role involves supporting the daily operation of the centre and assisting in delivering a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children aged 0 to 6 years.

Responsibilities

- Assist in delivering educational and recreational activities for children aged 0–6 years.
- Support structured programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure their safety and engagement.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals and snacks.
- Help with personal hygiene tasks such as toileting and nappy changes.
- Set up and clean activity areas, maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
- Observe and record child behaviour and development for review by lead educators.
- Assist in transitions including arrivals, departures, and group changes.
- Support inclusion of children with additional needs or diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Maintain cleanliness of toys, equipment, and learning spaces.
- Promote and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Build respectful, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ensure adherence to Arkie Education's policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
- Report any concerns about child wellbeing, behaviour, or safety to senior staff.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.




- Support continuous improvement by participating in meetings, training, and reflection.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, infection control, and health protocols.
- Ensure that the educational program aligns with the NQF and meets individual needs.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Provide feedback on children's engagement, learning outcomes, and care needs.

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year full-time experience working in a regulated early childhood education and care setting.
- Familiarity with child development principles, routine care, and safety practices.
- Passion for early childhood development and education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team-oriented, empathetic, and committed to continuous learning.
- Understanding of EYLF and National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
