Job Description
VERIDAPT is seeking a Field Services Engineer to join our Field Services team, reporting to the Head of Field Services & Safety. This role is central to ensuring our service partners deliver outstanding outcomes for VERIDAPT’s Australian customers, supporting our industrial IoT hardware and fuel management solutions.
About the Role
You’ll provide technical expertise, training and support across multiple disciplines as our partners deliver services to customers across Australia.
Working closely with Solution Engineers and BDMs, you’ll help upskill our service partners, act as their primary technical point of contact, and take ownership of their technical performance through ongoing feedback, troubleshooting support and targeted training.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining high technical standards across project delivery and ongoing customer support, while helping partners confidently install, commission and support VERIDAPT solutions in the field.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work across service partner support, project delivery, customer success and sales support, including:
- Providing onsite and remote technical training and support to VERIDAPT service partners.
- Supporting and overseeing onsite work and maintaining regular communication with partners during project delivery.
- Conducting site and vehicle audits where required.
- Assisting partners with technical training material, troubleshooting guides and installation support.
- Providing remote technical assistance during installation and commissioning.
- Troubleshooting technical issues for service partners and customers.
- Working with our Customer Success team to provide Tier 2 engineering and technical support for site issues.
- Maintaining strong product knowledge and providing feedback internally based on customer and partner experience.
- Conducting site audits and gathering technical information to assist the Sales team with project scoping and quotations.
- Identifying opportunities to improve outcomes for existing customers.
- Ensuring safe systems of work and VERIDAPT WHS&E; requirements are followed.
About you
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with the ability to communicate clearly and build trusted relationships with customers and service partners.
You’ll ideally bring:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years’ experience in electrical service within an industrial environment.
- Experience with instrumentation and control systems.
- Robust networking and communications knowledge.
- Strong investigation and troubleshooting capability across both hardware and software systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence training and supporting people with different levels of technical experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work across a mix of office, site and home environments.

Pay Range
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
