Our client is a growing FMCG business with exciting plans for the future, and they are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating freight movements, managing key customer requirements and ensuring strong delivery performance across major grocery and foodservice customers.
About the role
- Coordinate daily freight movements across chilled and frozen products, ensuring deliveries are booked, scheduled and collected on time.
- Manage relationships with freight providers, customers and internal teams to resolve delivery issues and maintain strong service levels.
- Take ownership of DIFOT performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential service failures.
- Coordinate logistics requirements across major grocery retailers, distribution centres and foodservice customers.
- Monitor freight performance, costs and service data to identify opportunities for improved reliability and cost efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement across freight processes, systems, reporting and supplier performance.
About you
- 5+ years' experience across logistics or supply chain, ideally within FMCG,
food manufacturing or a high-volume environment.
- Strong experience working with major Australian grocery retailers and their distribution centres, including booking windows and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with foodservice distributors such as PFD, Bidfood or similar.
- Confident managing freight providers, delivery issues and customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong systems and analytical skills, including Excel, ERP and freight/logistics platforms; experience with Primary Connect highly regarded.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with strong communication skills and the ability to take ownership and drive issues through to resolution.
