Join the Loddon Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local (LCHWL) and help shape the future of children's health and wellbeing across the Loddon region.

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Speech Pathologist to join our innovative multidisciplinary team, supporting children aged up to 11 years experiencing developmental, emotional, behavioural and relational challenges.

- Deliver assessments and short-term therapeutic interventions.
- Work closely with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, family‑centred care.

- Support children across the region through outreach and flexible service delivery.

To successfully apply for this position you will need:

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia registration
- Experience in working with children aged 0‑11 years.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families.
- Demonstrated understanding of the issues which impact vulnerable families in the catchment, including an understanding around trauma, child development and attachment.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in assisting families where children are at risk and a sound understanding of the service system and referral pathways for families.
- Proven ability to manage a complex case load and provide demand management function (with support) as required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a high level of emotional intelligence
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate a holistic approach to care.
- Knowledge of family centred practice and family led planning.
- Sound knowledge of the protective factors and contributors in relation to health inequality and vulnerability.
- Demonstrated understanding of diversity and inclusiveness.
- Understanding of the broad service health and wellbeing system, providing a link for children and families.
- A passion for working with children and families to increase health literacy and enhance health and wellbeing.

Desirable

- Knowledge of TRAK and Best Practice as reporting and Consumer Management System software.
- Experience supporting families to navigate the NDIS.
