Lead Community Infrastructure Projects That Make a Difference

About the Role

Join our City Technical Services team and play a pivotal role in delivering a diverse portfolio of building, civil and community infrastructure projects that help shape the future of the Georges River area.

As Project Engineer, you will manage projects from concept and design through to procurement, construction and completion, ensuring successful delivery across scope, budget, quality and time objectives. Working closely with contractors, consultants, government agencies, community groups and internal stakeholders, you will help bring important community facilities and infrastructure projects to life.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects, building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering tangible outcomes for the community. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of projects that enhance public spaces, improve community assets and support Council's long-term vision.

What We Offer

- Permanent, Full-Time - 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $101,723.29 - $117,859.55 per annum plus 12% superannuation
- Civil Liability Allowance 3.5%
- Vehicle Allowance OR Leaseback Vehicle
- 9-day fortnight subject to operational requirements

The successful candidate will have

- Experience in the project management and delivery of building, civil and infrastructureprojects, including knowledge of contemporary construction methodologies, procurementstrategies and contract delivery models.
- Demonstrated experience in project budgeting, financial management, cost control andcontract administration.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, community consultation and themanagement of relationships with government agencies, sporting organisations,consultants and contractors.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the preparation ofreports, briefing notes, correspondence, funding submissions and presentations for seniormanagement, Executive and Council.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, the EnvironmentalPlanning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993, Work Health andSafety legislation, and applicable Government policies, guidelines and technicalrequirements.
- Proven experience in project risk identification, assessment, mitigation and ongoing riskmanagement within a construction and infrastructure environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation,



contractor management,site safety obligations and safe work practices.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, tendering and the administration ofconstruction contracts.
- Current Class C Driver License.
- Construction Induction White Card.
