We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Product Engineer to join our Oceania team and play a key role in managing and growing our product portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Group Product Manager , you will work at the intersection of engineering, product management, sales, operations, and international manufacturing teams to support new product introductions, product lifecycle management, and market-driven product development initiatives.

About the Role

As Product Engineer, you will support the management and growth of Hendrickson's Truck, Trailer, Auxiliary and Aftermarket product portfolio throughout the Oceania region.

Working closely with local and global stakeholders, you will help deliver commercially successful products, coordinate engineering and product changes, support customers and sales teams, and ensure product offerings align with market requirements and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities





- Support product portfolio management and growth initiatives.
- Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) and Phase In/Phase Out (PIPO) programs.
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Provide technical and commercial product support to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Assist with pricing administration, competitor analysis, and market research.
- Liaise with international Hendrickson engineering and product teams.
- Support product performance improvement initiatives through customer and market feedback.

About You

- Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, Product Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an engineering, product, project, or technical commercial role.
- Experience in commercial vehicles, automotive, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or similar industries.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Passion for the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with PLM, ERP (QAD), CAD software, manufacturing processes, and project management tools. (desirable)
