Our Venues:

Situated on Sydney Harbour's stunning waterfront, ourgalleryvenue provides event spaces for corporate dinners, conferences, cocktail parties, private occasions, weddings, milestone celebrations and everything in-between. We host events across 4 recently refurbished spaces with iconic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, ranging from 50-500 pax.

In the coming months, we'll also open a brand-new venue in Parramatta , bringing multiple hospitality offerings together in a striking building featuring impressive architecture and artwork.

Across our events, boardrooms and cafés, our people are at the heart of every experience.

Position Overview:

As Staffing Coordinator , you'll help recruit, onboard, roster and engage a casual workforce of 100-300 hospitality professionals.

Working alongside our Staffing team and operational leaders,



you'll connect the right people with the right shifts, support employees and keep staffing administration running smoothly. This includes waitstaff, chefs, kitchen hands and logistics staff and other support teams.

This role suits someone who understands the pace of hospitality and enjoys combining detailed administration with meaningful people contact.

You'll work a Tuesday-Saturday roster , with flexibility to share responsibility for the staffing mobile outside standard hours on a rotating basis.

Main Duties:

- Coordinate our casual workforce: Support recruitment, onboarding and rostering across our hospitality operations.
- Build strong relationships: Get to know our employees’ skills, availability and preferences, and work closely with venue leaders to meet their staffing needs.
- Keep the details on track: Manage a high volume of varied administration with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Be a reliable point of contact: Respond to employee enquiries promptly and make time for face-to-face conversations wherever possible.
- Support team engagement: Help casual employees feel welcomed, informed and connected to The Big Group.
- Adapt as priorities change: Respond to changing staffing requirements with a practical approach and clear communication.

Skills/Experience Required:

- Strong hospitality experience and an understanding of Front and Back of House operations .
- Excellent administrative skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to stay organised and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Full working rights in Australia.
