We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our in-house fleet team in Loganholme, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for maintaining and optimising our fleet's performance, ensuring safety and reliability in our operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in diesel mechanics and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and associated systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in the training of junior mechanics and apprentices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in an in-house fleet environment.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's licence and relevant certifications.
