The role

An opportunity has arisen within our Marketing team for a full-time Marketing and PR Coordinator , based at our corporate office in South Brisbane.

This is a hands-on content and coordination role supporting the Foundation’s public relations, social media, storytelling and broader marketing activity.

Working closely with the Acting Senior Marketing Manager, PR and Content Manager and the broader Marketing and Mass Fundraising team, you will be responsible for:

- Creating engaging, on-brand content for social and digital channels, including copy, simple graphics, photography and short-form video.
- Scheduling and publishing content, maintaining content calendars and managing online community engagement.
- Supporting media monitoring, coverage reporting, media materials, interviews and proactive public relations opportunities.
- Coordinating ambassador, influencer and content creator activity, including briefs, schedules, assets, approvals and reporting.
- Supporting the development and capture of children’s and families' stories, including consent records, photography and filming logistics.
- Providing administrative and coordination support across campaigns, content production, media activity and team projects.
- Helping deliver integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns through content production, proofing, asset coordination and project support.
- Monitoring content and social performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Who are you?

You are a creative and highly organised coordinator who enjoys turning ideas into engaging content. You are curious about what makes audiences pay attention and motivated to build your skills across social media, content creation, public relations and integrated campaigns.

You will bring:

- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with an eye for accuracy, tone and brand consistency.
- Proven content creation skills, with experience producing reels, short-form video, social content, photography and other digital assets that drive engagement.
- A practical, hands‑on approach to creating social and digital content.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence working collaboratively and providing responsive support across a busy marketing team.
- Curiosity, sound judgement and a willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.

Key criteria

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, digital media or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- One to two years’ experience in marketing, communications, social media, content creation or a related coordinator role. Strong graduates with relevant practical experience may also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging social and digital content, including copy, simple graphics,



photography and short-form video.
- Working knowledge of major social media platforms, content scheduling, community management and basic analytics.
- An interest in public relations and earned media, with some experience or a strong willingness to learn media monitoring, pitching and media coordination.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a rapid‑paced environment.
- Experience with Canva, WordPress, video editing, photography, customer relationship management or email marketing platforms would be highly regarded.
- Experience in the not-for-profit or health sectors would be advantageous.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a positive Blue Card.

- A fabulous direct response/conversion copywriter (basically, you've got to LOVE writing and showing off how well you can do it!)
- An ambitious self‑starter with loads of initiative
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication and people skills
- Previous experience on a marketing team or as a freelance copywriter
- Someone professional, well‑mannered, and well‑presented
- Good computer skills, especially with: Google Drive, WordPress, Excel, Outlook, LinkedIn, and the other social media platforms

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Oversee all content writing for Seek adverts, and posts that go out to social media sites
- Access each consultants LinkedIn page and write a weekly post for each consultant
- Help consultants shoot short videos for LinkedIn and longer‑form videos for YouTube & write content to introduce video posts
- Use Canva to make design funky graphics & thumbnails to attract eyes to our posts
- Help build consultants individual LinkedIn audience by launching MeetAlfred campaigns
- Write copy for email marketing




- Design flyers for marketing events where presenters speak
- Liaise and work with an SEO consultant to drive passive traffic
- Update the website where needed
- Eventually, liaise with selected paid ads specialists to drive higher volumes of traffic to our online presence

The Role

As a Merchandise Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in their continued success by developing, executing, and optimising merchandise strategies that drive profitability and sales growth. Your analytical mindset and proactive approach to product will make you an invaluable member of this team.
