Your Choice Matters
Adelaide
At Your Choice Matters, we believe that great support starts with a great team. We’re a family-owned disability service that not only empowers our participants to achieve their goals, but also values and invests in the people who make that possible - our staff.
We pride ourselves on creating a team culture where you’ll feel supported, trained, and appreciated. Our staff enjoy regular catch-ups, ongoing development opportunities, an educational paid induction and a workplace that feels more like family than just a job. We also put great effort into rostering with balance in mind - making sure your shifts are built around your needs so you can enjoy both work and family life.
The Role
This role is for a Mentor Support Worker, and for us, the person doing the job matters just as much as their experience.
We like people who are easy to be around, can have a normal conversation, read the room and understand that everyone is different. You need to be patient, flexible and comfortable with the fact that some days won’t go exactly to plan.
We’re not looking for someone to come in and take over. We want someone who can build a good relationship, bring some personality to the role and know when to encourage, when to help and when to give someone space.
More than anything, we want valuable people who genuinely care about doing the job well. A strong understanding of client boundaries is essential. This role also requires a sociable and friendly nature, exceptional communication skills, and resilience.
What We’re Looking For
We want people who:
Ability to support clients with various disabilities
Bring compassion, patience, and respect to every interaction.
Value teamwork and enjoy being part of a family-like culture.
Can communicate confidently with clients, families, and support networks.
Are reliable, professional,
and genuinely passionate about making a difference.

Minimum Certificate III (or higher) in Disability/Individual Support/Community Services (or be studying/willing to obtain).
Current First Aid & CPR.
WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening/Disability Check, and Police Clearance.
Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable car.

Consistent supervision & mentoring – your voice will always be heard, and you’ll be supported in your professional growth and development.
Work-life balance – we put great effort into rostering to make sure your shifts suit your life, giving you balance with family, study, and personal commitments.
