Are you a strong retail leader ready to step into a busy big-box environment? We're looking for an experienced 2IC to join a high-volume store in Seven Hills, supporting the Store Manager and leading a team of 10+.
This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who is commercially minded, operationally solid and confident leading from the front.
About the Role
You'll play a key role in
- Supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of 10+
- Driving sales, KPIs and commercial results
- Maintaining a strong customer focus
- Managing high-volume stock and goods receiving
- Leading merchandising and store presentation
- Making quick decisions in a high-pressure environment
- Supporting the team through busy trading periods
- Managing performance and having difficult conversations when required
- Maintaining strong operational standards across the store
About You
- Previous 2IC,
Assistant Store Manager or senior retail leadership experience
- Big-box or high-volume retail experience
- Strong merchandising experience and the ability to merchandise without relying on planograms
- Good commercial acumen and understanding of KPIs
- Experience with stock management and goods receiving
- A natural ability to coach and develop people
- The confidence to make quick decisions and stay calm under pressure
- A strong customer and team focus
- Confidence and communication skills to handle challenging conversations
