About the role

This full-time position is a mobile gardening role, working across multiple sites to maintain high-quality sites across Melbourne. You'll enjoy variety in your day, travelling between locations and working as part of a supportive team to deliver excellent outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

- Assist with leading a team of horticultural maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Perform regular horticultural maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising
- Maintain ornamental gardens, hedges, lawns, and feature planting areas to premium presentation standard
- Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
- Assist in seasonal planting, turf renovation, and landscape improvement projects
- Identify and treat plant pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
- Work collaboratively with grounds and facilities staff to support school events and operational needs

About You

- You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens
- Excellent working knowledge of all of the tools and equipment used in the field, such as hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, hand tools and some petrol operated equipment.
- You have a drivers licence, National Police Check and Working with Children's Check (or willingness to apply).
