Building & Construction Lawyer | 5+ years' PAE | Boutique Law Firm

About the role
Lawmee is working with a well-regarded boutique law firm to secure an experienced Building & Construction Lawyer on a contract basis.
Commencing as soon as possible, this engagement is expected to run for approximately 3 months, with the potential to extend depending on client needs.
Your responsibilities may include:
Managing a broad range of building and construction disputes, including domestic and commercial building matters, construction contract disputes, and building defect claims.
Acting in VCAT proceedings and litigation in the County Court and Supreme Court.
Drafting pleadings, points of claim, defences, submissions, legal advice and correspondence.
Preparing matters for hearings, compulsory conferences and mediations, and liaising with clients, experts and counsel throughout the litigation process.




Assisting with the strategic management of matters, including supervising junior lawyers and coordinating with counsel where required.
Who we are looking for
We'd like to hear from lawyers with 5+ years' PAE gained in leading international, national, or boutique law firms.
The successful lawyer will have robust experience in building and construction litigation and dispute resolution, with the ability to manage matters autonomously.
