About the Role

Global Windows and Doors Solutions Pty Ltd is an Australian building-products company specializing in the supply and installation of aluminum windows, doors and associated framing solutions for residential and construction applications in Victoria, Australia.

The business is looking for the qualified Glazier who will strengthen the business by increasing its capacity to complete window, door and glazing projects efficiently. The candidate will be responsible for completing projects to a high standard, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery while contributing to the company’s ongoing operational success.

Job Responsibilities

1. Install and secure glass in aluminum windows, doors and other glazing systems.
2. Measure and mark glass accurately according to job specifications, drawings and templates.
3. Determine the appropriate type, size and dimensions of glass required for each project.
4. Inspect glass for defects and identify areas requiring cutting, trimming or removal.
5. Cut glass accurately along marked patterns and templates using appropriate glazing tools.
6. Safely break and remove excess glass using glass pliers, notched tools and other suitable equipment.
7.



Fit, seal and finish glass to ensure proper alignment, weatherproofing and secure installation.
8. Smooth and finish rough glass edges using suitable sanding and polishing equipment.
9. Lay and position glass over patterns, templates or padded work surfaces to ensure accurate cutting and preparation.
10. Trim, treat or finish glass as required to meet specific window, door and glazing project requirements.
11. Follow workplace health and safety procedures when handling, cutting, transporting and installing glass.

Requirements

1. Certificate III in Glass and Glazing (or equivalent qualification).
2. At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Glazier
3. Strong skills in measuring, cutting and fitting glass accurately.
4. Proficiency in installing and sealing glass in aluminum windows and doors.
5. Ability to read drawings, measurements and job specifications.
6. Skilled in using glazing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
7. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and workplace safety awareness.
