Project Supervisor – Build a Career With Grace
Looking for a new career, not just another job?
Grace Workplace Solutions is looking for motivated, practical people who want to build a long-term career in commercial relocations, logistics and project supervision.
You may already have experience leading teams or supervising projects. Or you may be coming from removals, warehousing, transport, construction, trades, logistics, hospitality, defence or another hands-on industry and looking for your next opportunity.
You do not need to already be a Project Supervisor to apply.
For the right people, we can offer an entry pathway into the business through our Skills Path structured training and development program, giving you the opportunity to develop the operational, leadership and project management skills required to progress toward Project Supervisor level.
The opportunity
Our Project Supervisors lead teams and act as the onsite client liaison across a diverse range of commercial projects, including:
- Office relocations
- FF&E; transport and installation
- Workplace churn and internal relocations
- Warehouse relocations
- Commercial furniture installations
- Education, health and government projects
- Decommissioning and site clearance projects
- Specialist logistics projects
No two projects are the same.
You will work closely with our management and operations teams to plan, coordinate and deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The role includes client liaison, team leadership, planning and programming of works, basic contract administration, project documentation and budget awareness.
Our leaders are also hands-on. You should be prepared to work alongside your team and undertake physical work.
Skills Path – structured career development
If you have the attitude and potential but not yet the experience required to step directly into a Project Supervisor position, we still want to hear from you.
Successful candidates may enter the business through our Skills Path program, where you will progressively develop your capabilities through structured training, mentoring and practical experience.
Your development pathway may include:
Operational Foundations ? Commercial Relocations ? Crew Leadership ? Client Liaison ? Project Planning ? Project Supervision
You will gain experience in areas including:
- Commercial relocation techniques
- Secure manual handling and equipment use
- Reading scopes, plans and project instructions
- Leading and coordinating relocation crews
- Client communication and onsite liaison
- Project paperwork and administration
- Planning labour, vehicles and equipment
- Programming and sequencing works
- Safety and risk management
- Quality control
- Basic project costing and budget awareness
Progression is based on demonstrated capability, performance and leadership potential.
Our objective is to develop good people into capable commercial relocation leaders and, ultimately, Project Supervisors.
What we are looking for
Experience is valuable, but attitude, reliability and leadership potential are just as important.
We are looking for people who demonstrate:
- Leadership potential
- A strong work ethic
- Reliability and accountability
- Excellent customer service
- Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues
- The ability to think on your feet and solve problems
- Strong organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- A deadline-focused approach
- A willingness to learn
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy,
including Microsoft Office
- A willingness to undertake hands-on physical work
Previous experience in removals, transport, logistics, warehousing, construction, trades, project coordination or team leadership will be highly regarded, but is not essential for entry into our development pathway.
