About the role
We're looking for a mid-level Accountant to join our Melbourne team. You'll handle day-to-day accounting and reporting, and work closely with the leadership team as the business grows.
What you'll be doing
• Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements and management reports
• Handling month-end processes, journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance lodgements
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Assisting with audit preparation and ad hoc finance requests
• Keeping finance systems and processes accurate and up to date
What we're looking for
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards it
• 3–5 years of experience in an accounting role (commercial or public practice)
• Positive working knowledge of Australian tax and compliance requirements
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar, plus solid Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach
