Our client is a growing construction consultancy business delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the retail, education, commercial and industrial sectors. They have a good reputation locally and are proud of the amount of repeat business they secure based on quality of their work and relationships they are able to develop. As their current cadet moves into more senior role, they are looking to backfill the role with a construction cadet / junior PM

Role Overview

Working alongside experienced project professionals, you will assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of projects from early planning stages through to completion. You will gain exposure to a broad range of stakeholders, project types and responsibilities.

Responsibilities will include supporting project reporting, coordinating consultants and subcontractors, attending project meetings, monitoring project progress, assisting with procurement and contract administration activities, and helping ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality objectives. You will also assist senior team members with project administration, stakeholder coordination and general project delivery activities.

The role is client side, so broader role than working for contractor.

Desired Skills & Experience





The ideal candidate will be currently studying or have recently completed a degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying and must have some - suggest minimum 12 months working as CA for main contractor or sub contractor business.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with excellent organisation, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving. Candidates should be motivated to develop their technical knowledge and capable of building effective working relationships with consultants, contractors and clients. A current driver's licence is required.

Salary

A salary package is negotiable. Depends on full time post grad, or part time undergrad. But ballpark suggest 65-80k, with remuneration adjusted on a pro-rata basis for candidates who are continuing their studies and working part-time.
