Senior Accountant - Multi-Entity Group

PropRT Group is a Brisbane-based property and legal technology group supporting real estate agents, law firms and property professionals across Australia.

Our Group includes two growing brands:

SearchX brings property searches, contracts, electronic signing, AML and conveyancing services together through one platform. Established in Queensland, SearchX is now expanding into Current South Wales and nationally.

WealthApp is building a national property referral network, connecting referrers with partners across finance, conveyancing, insurance, trades, building and other property services. The platform manages the commercial framework behind those referrals, including partner revenue and referral commissions.

Both businesses are growing, and we’re now looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to help build the finance function that supports that growth.

The role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across multiple Group entities.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning the numbers, improving processes and building structure in a growing business.

You’ll manage month-end, reporting, compliance, forecasting and multi‑entity accounting, while also helping establish the financial processes and controls behind WealthApp’s national referral and commission model.

You won’t just report the numbers — you’ll help build the systems behind them.

What you’ll own

- Month-end close across multiple Group entities
- Intercompany accounting and consolidation
- Monthly management reporting and the finance component of Board reporting




- Product and state-based margin reporting
- WealthApp referral revenue, partner commissions and referral payout reconciliations
- Financial controls around referral and commission payments
- Rolling 13-week cash flow forecasting
- Annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting
- BAS, IAS, PAYG, STP, superannuation, payroll tax and FBT compliance
- Coordination with external accountants for year-end and tax
- Support for trust account reconciliations within our conveyancing practice
- Xero structure, controls and ongoing improvement
- Oversight and development of a small offshore finance support team

You’ll also work closely with managers across the Group to help them understand their numbers and make better commercial decisions.

About you

You’ll be a commercially minded accountant who is comfortable being hands‑on while also seeing the bigger picture.

You’ll bring:

- CPA or CA qualification
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or similar
- 5+ years' accounting experience, including at least 2 years at Senior Accountant level or equivalent
- Strong multi‑entity accounting and consolidation experience
- Advanced Xero and Excel capability
- Practical tax, payroll and statutory compliance experience
- Experience reviewing and guiding the work of others
- Strong attention to detail and financial controls




- The ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- A builder's mindset — you’re comfortable creating process and structure where it doesn’t yet exist

Highly regarded

Experience within technology, SaaS, marketplaces, payments or high‑growth businesses will be highly regarded.

We’d also value experience with commission or referral payment models, platform fees, third‑party payouts, property, conveyancing or legal trust accounting.
