Lead meaningful work on Country
Choorechillum (Ngadjon-Jii PBC) Aboriginal Corporation is looking for an experienced Ranger Supervisor to lead and support our Ranger team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working on Country, leading people and delivering practical land management and conservation work.
You will coordinate the day-to-day work of the Ranger team, mentor and support Rangers, and help make sure projects are completed safely and to a high standard.

About the role
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday and is fixed-term for an initial six months due to approved project funding.
- Revegetation and natural regeneration.
- Fencing and site preparation.
- Debris removal.
- Protecting waterways and wetlands.
- Other restoration and conservation work.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support the Ranger team.
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly work.
- Deliver land management and conservation activities.
- Mentor and develop Rangers.
- Help coordinate projects, resources and priorities.
- Assist with budgets, reporting, timesheets and project progress.
- Build positive relationships with Traditional Owners, community and stakeholders.
- Make sure WHS requirements, policies and procedures are followed.
- Work closely with the Senior Project Officer.
About you
- Experience leading or supervising a Ranger, land management or field-based team.
- Experience in land management, conservation or environmental work.
- Valuable communication and organisation skills.
- The ability to plan field activities and support team members.
- Knowledge of WHS requirements.
- Respect for Aboriginal culture and the ability to work well with Traditional Owners and community.
- The ability to use, or willingness to learn, GPS, GIS and other technology.
Qualifications & requirements
- Certificate III, IV or higher in Land Management and Conservation, or relevant experience.
- Ability to work in field-based and regional locations.
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
