Honorbread is a growing bakery in the heart of Bermagui on the Far South Coast of NSW, known for crafting high-quality artisan bread and pastries using traditional techniques and the finest ingredients.

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our production operations and team, maintaining consistently high standards of quality, food safety and operational efficiency.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the GM, you will provide hands-on leadership to bakers, apprentices and support staff, managing daily production, staffing, product flow and dispatch to ensure production targets, quality standards and food safety requirements are consistently met.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and manage the production teams, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment

Oversee daily manufacturing operations and production flow

Manage recruitment, training, supervision and rostering

Work closely with the GM and Heads of Pastry & Breads to optimise production and resolve product-related issues

Coordinate with the Procurement Manager to maintain effective inventory and stock control

Ensure production areas remain clean, organised and compliant with food safety and WHS requirements

Improve operational efficiency, team productivity and production processes

Ensure production targets and deadlines are consistently met

Coordinate equipment maintenance,



scheduled servicing and minor repairs

What We’re Looking For:

Proven production management experience within food manufacturing or commercial baking

Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and coordinate multiple teams and departments

Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, workflow and inventory control

Confidence using production data, KPIs and budgets to improve performance and control costs

Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills

Sound knowledge of food safety, quality assurance and WHS requirements

Solid computer skills, ideally including production management, rostering and reporting software

A positive, forward-thinking mindset

A commitment to continuous improvement and growing with the business

Presently, we operate three cafés and deliver to wholesale customers across the South Coast, from Batemans Bay to Merimbula.
