Goodwin Submersible Pumps Australia was established in 2014 as a subsidiary of Goodwin PLC in the UK, a multinational engineering & manufacturing company.

We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Pump Fitter - Mechanic to join our Australia team. Based in Brendale Brisbane and servicing the mining & heavy industries around Australia.

This is not a FIFO position

Qualifications & experience

Trade qualified with a demonstrated understanding of large Submersible pumps would be well regarded

Minimum 3 years experience as a qualified trades person

Experienced with 100mm to 200mm outlet size and 3 phase electric driven pumps up to 110kW

Familiar with industry HSE norms

Excellent reporting & communication skills will be essential for the role

Well developed skills in pump trouble shooting and fault finding

Fit & able to travel around Queensland and interstate to cities and remote sites when required

Familiar with MS Office suite

Hold a current driver's Australian license.





Tasks & Key Responsibilities for the role will include

Reporting directly to the country Director

Meeting the workshop and customer service objectives will be key

Ensure that a safe working workplace is maintained in the workshop and SOP is followed at all times

Carry out the strip-down, assessment and repairs along with the condition testing of the slurry pumps range

Control of the spare parts inventory and stock

Receiving & dispatching of pumps and spares parts

Ability to read and interpret pump curves will be highly regarded

Have technical competence to assess pumping applications & duties

Prepare pump service & repair quotes in accordance with company sales and pricing policy.
