The Opportunity

We are looking for people who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment and would like to be part of a high performing friendly team. Working for a solid and secure family-owned business with high standards for safety & quality.

The successful candidates will work across production: packing our high quality fresh cheese and yoghurt products within the factory, work with our cheese making team and in logistics packing our finished product.

We are offering casual positions with the ability to join the ongoing staffing team.

Career progression for staff that are a good fit with the aptitude to add value.

Regular weekend work will be required. Generous penalty rates apply.

Ordinary operating hours between 6am to 6pm

Duties

Work in a team on the production line completing all or some of the following:

hand packing cheese

Unloading curd

Lidding yoghurt

Final Assembly (boxing product)

according to schedules





Contribute to a friendly culture and team work

Learn lean principles

Complete cleaning tasks to a high standard, as set out in the food safety program.

Maintain a high standard of good hygiene.

Use all equipment in a secure manner following operating procedures

Contribute to continuous improvement

Adhere to food safety standards

Selection Criteria

Good communication skillsand a great attitude

High attention to personal hygiene

Dexterous, able to complete repetitive work to a high standard

Must be able to read and understand OHS information particularly regarding safe handling of chemicals

Mechanical aptitude highly regarded

Ambition to advance and lead a team - highly regarded

Good attention to detail and quality

Knowledge of lean manufacturing not essential but highly regarded
