About the Role

Inclusive Support Service is looking for dedicated Youth Workers / Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality support to young people living with complex care, medical and behavioural needs .

This is more than just a job — you’ll have the opportunity to build genuine relationships, support individual goals and help young people participate in everyday life and their community.

About the Role

As a Complex Care Youth Worker, you may support young people with:

- Complex medical and health needs: Enteral Feeding.
- Disability and developmental needs
- Behaviours of concern
- Emotional and behavioural regulation
- Personal care and daily living activities
- Community access and social participation
- Appointments, activities and outings
- Therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
- Individual support plans and behaviour support strategies
- Building independence, confidence and life skills

Every young person is different, so you’ll need to be someone who can adapt your approach,



think on your feet and put the individual at the centre of your support.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for people who are:

- Experienced working with children or young people with disabilities
- Confident supporting complex behaviours and high-support needs
- Comfortable working with complex care or medical needs
- Patient, calm and emotionally regulated
- Reliable and responsible
- Able to build positive relationships with young people
- Confident working independently
- Comfortable following care plans, risk assessments and support strategies
- Able to communicate effectively with families, professionals and the ISS team
- Passionate about helping young people achieve their goals

Experience in the following is highly regarded:

- Disability support
- Youth work
- Residential care
- Child Safety / out-of-home care
- Behaviour support
- Trauma-informed practice
- Personal care

Essential Requirements

- Cert 4 in a relevant field or higher / Working towards.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
- Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Australian working rights
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
