At Arkie Education Wahroonga, we believe the earliest years of a child’s life are filled with incredible opportunities for discovery, connection and growth. We are looking for a passionate Nursery Room Leader who shares our commitment to nurturing young minds and creating meaningful experiences that lay the foundations for lifelong learning.

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play an important role in creating a warm, nurturing and child-safe setting where babies feel secure, valued and supported to explore the world around them. You will lead a passionate team of educators and build strong, genuine relationships with children and their families.

About the Role

- Lead and inspire a team of educators to provide high-quality care and education.
- Create a safe, secure and nurturing environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging.
- Develop meaningful, play-based learning experiences that encourage curiosity, exploration and discovery.
- Build responsive and respectful relationships with babies, recognising and responding to their individual needs, interests and cues.
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing, confidence, independence and developing sense of identity.
- Work collaboratively with families to ensure continuity between home and the early learning environment.
- Mentor and support educators to reflect on their practice and continually grow professionally.
- Maintain high standards of health,



safety, child protection and educational practice.
- Contribute to Arkie’s culture of creating playful environments where meaningful learning happens and the next generation of changemakers is nurtured.

What We’re Looking For

- Has experience working with children aged 0–2 years.
- Has strong knowledge of the EYLF and early childhood practices.
- Is passionate about nurturing young minds and supporting children during their earliest years.
- Understands the importance of creating child-safe, inclusive and emotionally secure environments.
- Is confident leading, mentoring and inspiring a team.
- Builds positive and trusting relationships with families.
- Has a reflective and collaborative approach.
- Brings warmth, creativity, enthusiasm and a genuine love of working with children.
