- Coin making – polishing, laser frosting, 3Dengraving, Physical Vapour Deposition hard coating, chrome plating,dies inspection and collars manufacture.
- Machinery – operate and maintain minting criticalmachines.
- Coin Sculpting – design coins, medals, medallions,and token, etc.
- Graphic Design – design coin packaging materials,exhibition graphics, etc.
- Engineering – technical support and manufacturingoperations.

The Human Resources Branch delivershigh quality operational and strategic HR services that support theRoyal Australian Mint to achieve its strategic objectives,
throughits most valuable asset, its People. We ensure that the Mintattracts, develops, and retains a skilled, diverse and engagedworkforce. Our services include payroll, recruitment,workforce planning,employee relations, performance management,complaints and resolution and HR policy development andimplementation.

About the Role
The APS 5 Human ResourcesWorkforce Officer supports the delivery of payroll services,workforce planning, establishment management, workforce reporting,recruitment activities, and HR advisory services across theMint.
The role contributes to workforce strategies and operational HRfunctions by providing payroll support, data analysis, workforceinsights, process improvement recommendations, and high-qualityadvice to managers and employees.
Working under limited direction, the APS 5 Workforce Officerexercises sound judgement,
applies HR policy and legislation, andcollaborates with stakeholders to support organisational workforcecapability and strategic workforce initiatives.
The Duties
The duties of this position include:
1. 1. Supporting the completion of accurate and compliantpayroll processing in collaboration with the Mint’s outsourcedpayroll provider (Aurion).
2. 2. Administering the HRMIS (Aurion), includingliaising with the external provider and supporting users ofemployee self-service and e-recruitment.
3. 3. Support the development and implementation ofworkforce planning activities and strategies.
4. 4. Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activitiesincluding vacancy management, advertising, assessment processes,engagement documentation, and onboarding.
5. 5. Maintain workforce establishment records andposition management processes.
6. 6. Prepare employment documentation, workforcecorrespondence, and reports.
7. 7. Provide advice and guidance to managers andemployees on HR policies, procedures, and workforce practices.
8. 8. Interpret and apply relevant legislation,enterprise agreements, workplace policies, and APS frameworks.
9. 9. Contribute to the review and improvement of HRprocesses, procedures, and systems.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working in Government HumanResources, Workforce Plannin, Recruitment, or a relatedfield.
- Knowledge of APS legislation, policies, and employmentconditions is desirable.
Security
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. Thesuccessful applicant will be required to obtainand maintain aclerarance at this level.
