McConnell Dowell is a major engineering, construction and infrastructure company delivering complex projects across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. We are currently seeking a Site Administrator to join our Ryde to Pymble Pipeline Upgrade team in Sydney.
This is a site-based position supporting a high-performing project team responsible for delivering critical water infrastructure for the community.
Initially offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract , this opportunity provides an excellent pathway into McConnell Dowell. With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects across the region, longer-term opportunities may exist for high performers.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in keeping the project running smoothly through the delivery of efficient site administration, financial processing, payroll support and office coordination functions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate day-to-day administration and operations of the project site office.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, delivery dockets and support project cost reporting.
- Manage weekly payroll administration, employee records and timesheet coordination.
- Maintain document control systems, project correspondence and office filing.
- Organise meetings, travel, accommodation and site logistics for project personnel.
- Provide administrative support to project leadership while acting as the first point of contact for site

About You
You are an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment and takes pride in delivering accurate,
high-quality work.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Previous administration experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities or project environments.
- Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Confident communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to work independently while supporting a busy project team.
