About the Role
We're looking for a Sous Chef or Senior CDP who's ready to step up and take real ownership. This isn't a back-seat role — you'll be leading shifts, driving standards and working alongside our Head Chef to keep the kitchen firing. If you love food, love to learn and thrive when the dockets are stacking up,
you'll fit right in here.
About You
- 3+ years experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen
- Currently leading shifts independently
- Confident running prep and ideally with some stocktake and ordering experience
- A genuine love for American food and diners
- Experience in burgers, casual dining or similar high-volume operations is a big plus
What You'll Be Doing
- Helping to lead service and hold the standard on every single dish that leaves the pass
- Driving a disciplined, high-quality prep schedule
- Maintaining a food-secure and well-organised kitchen
- Supporting the Head Chef in developing the team and upholding Smithburg's standards
- Contributing to stocktakes, ordering and kitchen operations
