About the Role

As the Digital Learning Designer Team Lead, you will lead and contribute to the design and development of engaging, accessible and innovative digital learning experiences and resources that meet the diverse needs and enhance the learning experience of Swinburne learners.

As a people leader within the EI Studio, you will provide leadership to a team of Digital Learning Designers, oversee workflow and task allocation, and foster collaboration, capability development and a culture of innovation. You will champion the contribution and needs of the Digital Learning Designer team in leadership discussions, contribute to relevant working groups and forums, and support key strategic initiatives, including the Educator Capability Program.

Reporting to the Manager, Education Innovation Studio (EIX), you will lead your team of Digital Learning Designers and work collaboratively with Instructional Designers, Learning Designers, educators, subject matter experts and stakeholders across the University to develop high-quality digital learning resources that enhance the educational experience and enable innovative approaches to learning and teaching.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating the work of others in a learning design context, including task prioritisation, workload management, and quality assurance.
- Ability to foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture, including mentoring and capability-building of peers.
- Advanced experience designing and developing engaging and inclusive digital learning experiences using LMS and eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise 360, Canvas), multimedia applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite),



and Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications

A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in learning design, education technology, instructional design or a related field.
