Flower Child Café is a growing Sydney café group with venues across Castle Towers, Warringah and Chatswood, known for fresh food, quality produce and a busy, energetic service workplace. We're looking for a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CDP ready to take the next step, or an existing Junior Sous Chef looking for a supportive environment where they can grow into a strong second-in-charge.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and producing high-quality food consistently to Flower Child standards
- Working across kitchen sections and supporting smooth service
- Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and portion control
- Supporting the Senior Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Helping train, guide and support junior team members
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organisation
- Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Assisting with prep, stock control and ensuring the kitchen is service-ready
- Stepping up and taking responsibility during busy services when required

About you

- Genuine passion for great food and hospitality
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' commercial kitchen experience




- Previous Chef de Partie experience, with Junior Sous Chef experience highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm, organised and focused in a fast-paced service
- Someone who leads by example and supports the people around them
- Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards
- Reliable, hands-on approach and a genuine desire to be part of a team
