Farm Manager ~ Thoroughbred Training Facility | Euora, Victoria
Lindsay Park Racing is a world-class thoroughbred racing and training enterprise with a rich history of high standards across its tracks, pastures, and infrastructure. Spanning 1,300 acres across the flagship Euroa property and the nearby Collingrove facility, the operation combines top-tier thoroughbred racing preparation with high-quality farm and land management. Working in close collaboration with leading trainers, agronomists, and industry specialists, Lindsay Park offers a professional, supportive, and dynamic workplace dedicated to maintaining elite equine standards and sustainable land stewardship.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Farm Manager takes full operational responsibility for the daily running, maintenance, and safety of both the Euroa and Collingrove properties. This multifaceted leadership position involves guiding a team of up to 20 permanent and casual staff across farm, track, and maintenance duties. Key responsibilities include overseeing the daily preparation and renovation of specialised grass, Pro-Ride, and sand training tracks, which carry up to 200 horses a day, as well as managing perennial pasture health, weed control, and spraying programs in partnership with an agronomist.
Additionally, the role oversees a herd of approximately 50 cattle utilised primarily for pasture management, manages John Deere machinery and farm infrastructure through proactive preventative maintenance, coordinates external contractors,
and ensures strict compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

The property offers convenient access to major hubs, just 1 hour and 35 minutes from Melbourne Airport and a quick 2-hour 15-minute train ride to Southern Cross Station in central Melbourne.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an organised, hands-on leader who combines strong expertise in agriculture and track management with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience leading, rostering, and mentoring a team of staff in a farm, turf, or equine environment.
- Sound technical understanding of track maintenance (Pro-Ride, poly, grass, or sand)
and the crucial role track safety plays in thoroughbred training.
- Solid background in pasture management, chemical application (holding a current ACUP certificate), and general farm operations.
- A proactive, preventative mindset toward machinery, plant, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Calm decision-making ability under pressure, combined with close attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills to work seamlessly with trainers, management, staff, and external suppliers.
- Dedication to rural living and willingness to participate in a rotating weekend and on-call roster.
