Thornton North Early Learning Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic team. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of high-quality meals to our young students. This is a full-time position atThornton, NSW 2322.

What you'll be doing

- Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals and snacks for children in our care
- Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen, ensuring all food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
- Assist with the ordering and inventory management of kitchen supplies and ingredients




- Collaborate with the early learning centre team to understand and cater to the dietary requirements of the children
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a seasonal menu
- Adhere to all relevant food handling and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Kitchen Hand or similar role in a commercial kitchen or early learning/childcare setting
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive work environment
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for creating nutritious, high-quality meals for children
