Foundation Skills Trainer - Evening Classes
About the Role:

The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program is a government-funded initiative that helps people aged 15+ build essential language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills. As an Evening Trainer , you'll deliver engaging training classes outside standard business hours, supporting participants who may be balancing work, family, or other daytime commitments. You’ll create a supportive learning environment, helping learners build confidence, overcome barriers, and progress towards further education and employment opportunities.
This role is based in Caloundra , and involves delivering training during evening hours . This is a casual position, ideal for an experienced trainer looking for flexible work that makes a genuine difference.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging foundation skills training to adult learners in evening classes
- Facilitate face-to-face learning in a supportive and inclusive environment
- Adapt training approaches and resources to meet varying learner needs
- Deliver LLND training aligned with RTO requirements and relevant standards
- Assess, monitor, and record participant progress and outcomes
- Foster learner engagement, confidence, and achievement

What You Bring:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, TAE40110 or equivalent)
- TAESSS00026 Foundation Skills Integration Skill Set or TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or equivalent registration (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
- Ongoing right to work in Australia
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Check (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
Highly Regarded:
- Experience teaching adult literacy, numeracy, language or EAL learners
- Specialist Adult Literacy or TESOL qualification
