ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seekinga casual Trade Assistant to support the workshop & logistics activities within the business.
This position keeps the workshop and project sites supplied and running smoothly. It covers handling deliveries, keeping stock levels in check, and ordering parts and consumables from suppliers. It also involves picking up goods from suppliers and transporting materials and equipment to sites throughout Brisbane, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
The position will support the workshop with basic steel processing using mag drill, bandsaw and cold cut saw and understanding how to read fabrication shop drawings.
Some of the tasks will include but not be limited to:
Checking, sorting and marking of incoming and outgoing deliveries
Ordering parts and consumerables for the workshop
Undertake collection of material from suppliers
Checking workshop inventory including welding/processing and PPE consumables
Undertake basic steel processing including use of mag drill, bandsaw and cold cut saw
Reading material lists and fabrication shop drawings
ABOUT YOU
Workshop/factory floor experience desirable
Experience using brobo/bandsaw/mag drill desirable
Must carry valid drivers licence
Must carry LF licence
Knowledge and ability for restraining loads for safe transport
